PUBG Update 37.1: Bugatti Hypercars, POBG Return, and Major Console Changes

PUBG Update 37.1 — What’s New and What You Should Know

Launch & Overview

Released on August 13, 2025 (PC) and rolling out to console players starting August 21, 2025, Update 37.1 brings a wave of new content, gameplay modes, and improvements across PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS.

Key Highlights

1. PUBG × Bugatti Collaboration

Team up with luxury in the Battlegrounds through the high-profile Bugatti collaboration, featuring hypercars and exclusive themed items.

2. Expanded UGC Alpha Platform

The UGC (User-Generated Content) Alpha is now open to all BATTLEGROUNDS Plus players, with access to sample modes and custom session creation. This feature will be active until the next major update (Update 38.1, targeting October).

3. Arcade Mode “POBG” Returns

PlayerOmnom’s Battlegrounds (POBG), a nostalgic top-down pixel shooter, makes its comeback with a twist—now set on the Paramo map. Expect lava pool hazards, the new Mortar Chicken enemy, and boss Captain Crispy. Available on PC from August 21 to September 9, and on consoles from August 28 to September 17 (UTC).

4. Special Crafting at the Workshop

New collaboration skins — including the Bugatti-themed items — can now be crafted at the Workshop via Special Crafting. PCs can craft them until September 15, and consoles until September 23.

5. Chat Visibility Controls

PC players gain new flexibility with chat: hide or show team, clan, or custom match channels using commands (/ot, /oc, /ocm). Messages sent while hidden will appear once re-enabled, but visibility resets upon game restart.

6. Survivor Pass: Wild Things & Store Updates

The latest store update (August 2025) introduces the Wild Things Survivor Pass—now only available as a Premium Pass for $4.99 (upgrading packs removed).

Additional highlights:

New Progressive weapon skin and chroma for the S1897.

Beary Cozy Bear item available into 2026.

Local currency price display added for KRW, CNY, EUR (Steam only).

7. Ranked Map Pool Adjusted

Ranked play will no longer feature Vikendi and Deston, aligning closer with official esports map rotations.

Platform Support Changes

On August 13, 2025, Krafton announced that starting November 13, PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS will drop support for PS4 and Xbox One, shifting exclusively to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The move aims to improve performance, stability, and align with current-gen expectations.
